Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and highly motivated individual to join the dedicated Informatics team within the SCW Child Health Information Service.

We are looking for an experienced data warehouse developer with a passion for data and analytics who can support the CHIS Informatics team's reporting requirements.

Main duties of the job

The post will involve the development and maintenance of the Child Health Information Service data warehouse using complex Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to enable the provision of reporting and analysis of Child Health information.

The role requires advanced skills in MS SQL Server, both query design and SSIS packages, to ensure the data warehouse fits the need of the CHIS Informatics Team's reporting and analytical requirements.

There will also be an element of data flow monitoring using automated information transfer protocols. Good numeracy skills and an attention to detail are essential to this role, as is prior experience in data warehousing functions and drafting technical documentation.

Possession of excellent communication and problem-solving skills is also required as is the ability to be proactive and use initiative. We are open to new ideas and will encourage innovation and creativity within this role.

About us

You will be operating within the Data Warehousing element of the CHIS Informatics Team, an area of focused growth and development. You will be reporting to the CHIS Data Warehouse Manager.
