Job summary

"An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Digital Data and Technology team, for a full-time Senior Technical Analyst (Networks). We are looking for an enthusiastic, tenacious and detail oriented individual to help support and maintain our systems across the south of England"

The post holder will be responsible for contributing to the provision of an efficient, effective, high quality, professional IT Operations capability that continues to meet all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements ensuring alignment with the activity of the organisation.

Main duties of the job

    • As a member of the networks team, you will manage resolution of customer fault tickets in a timely manner to meet KPIs.
    • The management and operations of network devices within the SCW CSU DDaT supported environment
    • Specific skills in maintaining Switches and Firewalls, in order to monitor and maintain the performance of associated services in terms of their contribution to business performance and their sustainability
    • Maintain and adapt SCW CSU specific networking infrastructure standards, including operational and technical documentation, compliance with organisational and technical standards, processes and procedures
    • The post holder will be expected to mentor and lead junior members of the team.
    • Promote best operational practices of a scale environment.

About us

The network team sits within the Technical Operations Function of SCW providing support across multiple NHS organisations in the South of England. We work closely with the other teams within Technical Operations.

The successful candidate will need to have access to their own transport or be able access other modes of transport and can ensure they can committed to attending customer sites reliably and regularly.

Furthermore, as part of this role there will be a requirement to undertake light manual handling duties, where necessary and practicable, to restore operational service to the customer's expectation.
