Job summary
SCW requires an experienced and enthusiastic programme lead with a desire to work within the NHS, ensuring value for public money and helping to improve outcomes for patients. Using the experience gained in previous roles to develop a person-centred and outcome focused approach to delivery and manage high profile, and/or complex programmes of work on behalf of clinical services. This post will suit a reliable and dynamic individual with programme management and communication skills. The postholder should be an enthusiastic team player, working closely with colleagues in the CMC and SCW Clinical Services, but able to work independently to balance priorities and achieve any necessary deadlines.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to work alongside fellow clinicians and input into the development and delivery of a CMC service which will make a difference to patients, helping to ensure best value for money and optimal clinical outcomes.

Main duties of the job
The role will provide expert advice and programme management to assist SCW customers in developing legal, safe, cost-effective and best value NHS services, with an emphasis on identifying and reducing unwarranted clinical variation and ensuring an effective interface across systems and integrated care models. The post holder will ensure that clinical effectiveness and best practice is embedded into planning and transformation of CMC services across SCW.
The ideal candidate will have in depth knowledge of NHS initiatives, policy and developments as well as the legal, governance and ethical framework within which clinicians, organisations, systems, providers, and commissioners work. Experience in management and delivery of projects alongside highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills will be the key elements for the successful candidate. You will be working within a challenging new NHS environment and will need to be creative and proactive in your approach.
