Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the SCW Informatics directorate as a Senior Project Manager within our Data Management and Architecture team, supporting the delivery of a strategic technical programmes with initial focus on our ongoing Microsoft 365 for the NHS delivery programme and various projects within the Microsoft Azure and on-premise datacenre space.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic project manager, who will work closely with advanced technical colleagues predominantly in the solutions architect space to drive forward a range of innovative projects that ultimately improve patient care by means of providing stable and resilient platforms that our clinicians and support staff operate from. Working with the Cloud Programme Manager and Programme directors, the successful candidate will have the communication, engagement, technical background and project management skills necessary to ensure delivery of these transformation projects.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting clinical and non-clinical projects across the integrated care system and will be at the forefront of delivery, working with partners across the system to bring about change for our staff and patients. Example projects within the portfolio include:

  • Microsoft 365 for the NHS (N365) spanning 14.4M patient population.
  • Data Management Azure Migration
  • Technical platform onboarding that requires project management input.

Essential

  • Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area
  • Evidence of continued professional development.

Desirable

  • Registered PPM Professional - PRINCE2 and/or MSP
  • Relevant Agile Certification (e.g. PMI-ACP, APMG, CPO, CEC, PSM, SA, CDA)
