As a Graduate Trainee, you will have a clearly planned 2-year development journey and a permanent role at the end. You will be placed with one of service lines to undertake a role that stretches and challenges you. This might include working in DDaT (Digital, Data and Technology) Transformation Team, HR, Workforce and Organisational Development, Procurement and Finance.

Throughout your 2-year scheme, you will have 4 days within your role and one day per week for your own professional development. This time will include undertaking a management apprenticeship to receive accredited management qualifications and you will also attend group masterclasses hosted by SCW.

Main duties of the job

So, what are we looking for? You will need to be a graduate or will soon to be a graduate of any degree, with a minimum grade of 2:2. You'll also need to have good Maths and English, Grade C/4 GCSE or equivalent.

About us

You will work within a specialist department within SCW developing business and management skills, relationship building and negotiating skills as well as communication and analytical abilities. You will also develop some specialist skills aligned to the area of the organisation you are placed in. Within your role you may work on projects or work streams, utilising your skills and experience to encourage the development and delivery of innovative, efficient and customer focused services and products.

In addition to these core areas, graduates will be expected to provide departmental business support, establish, and maintain key working relationships with a range of stakeholders (internal and external) and participate in professional development activities as set out within the scheme.
