Job summary

We are looking for a talented individual to join the Data Processing and Reporting Unit Projects Team; someone who has a drive and passion in delivering an exemplar service and who would like to progress a career in this profession.

The applicant should possess excellent numerical skills, a methodical approach, a high degree of accuracy in their work and the ability to prioritise work. A working knowledge and use of Microsoft SQL and Excel is essential.

The postholder will be required to provide analytical support and insights to a range of regional stakeholders, regularly engaging in regional and national forums to ensure standardisation and consistency where appropriate. It will include the development of dashboards and adhoc reporting utilising a range of technical tools.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of this role are to provide data and insights, in relation to NHS England Direct Commissioned Services and NHS England Delegated services, to a range of stakeholders. It require a strong technical skill set, including SQL and dashboard development and the ability to confidently liaise with and manage a range of stakeholders.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area - information / data analysis.
  • Some experience of working in data analysis roles

Desirable

  • Experience and understanding of evaluating and measuring the performance of health services
  • Experience working on reports using Microsoft SQL server.
