Job summary

To work as part of a dynamic specialist Clinical Procurement and Market Management team within Arden and GEM Commissioning Support Service (AG CSU). Supporting the delivery of a strategic Clinical Procurement and Market Management service for NHS England 'the customer', leading on low to medium complex procurement projects within a portfolio of Directly Commissioned Clinical Services that delivers high value, improved patient care and cost efficiency savings across the customer base

Main duties of the job

You will work as part of a dynamic specialist Clinical Procurement and Market Management team within the Operations Directorate of the AGCSU. You will be responsible for specific projects that will support the Service Lead for Clinical Procurement and Market Management in delivering an effective and efficient service against the agreed work plan and key performance indicators.

The specific requirements of this role are as follows:

  • To deliver clinical procurement's (low/medium complexity) within a portfolio of projects/programme that delivers high value, improved patient care and cost efficiency savings across the CSU customer base.
  • Delivering tenders or mini competitions in line with specific work plan requirements.
  • Use of e-tendering tools to support procurement's and to become an expert within this field.
  • Ensure accurate and open communication and co-ordination with a range of organisations and individuals, researching and drafting correspondence and papers and ensuring the management of specifictasks, lead reporting and analysis across a range of specialties, functions and projects.
  • Participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects, services, and initiatives which may be complex, sensitive, political, and contain contentious information with the aim of providing information and analytical advice to the teams.
