Senior Consultant - OD & Leadership

Job summary

The purpose of this role is to be responsible for the provision of high-quality, bespoke leadership, Organisational Development (OD) and change management services and projects across a range of external customers. The post-holder will also be asked to develop a detailed knowledge of these customer and health landscape challenges and how to interpret these, as well as complex national and local healthcare policies and priorities, to the greatest benefit of the customer by creating and delivering suitable improvement solutions and projects that best meet these needs.

Main duties of the job

Working closely with HealthCare Solution (HCS) Leadership & OD Skills Teams and the wider the Arden & GEM teams to support client projects. The post holder will be an integral part of the OD and Leadership Skills Team, helping it to establish itself in the marketplace and grow its business and client base over the coming years in line with current HCS ambitions, including delivery of the OD and Leadership expected annual sale and subsequent profitability targets.

A key responsibility of the role is working for HCS clients to lead on the design and delivery of the required work as defined by them in their scoping meetings. This work can range in complexity and topic so will require a flexible individual to learn the customer needs and how best to meet them, often having to utilise a broader set of skills and experience than just the purely OD and Leadership. The post holder will be required to lead on the development and implementation of suitable solutions and interventions that will impact multiple external organisations and/or healthcare systems. This role will be a senior part of the Leadership and OD Skills Team management function, so liaising with current and potential customers to identify and develop new business will be a key part of the role, including creating and managing their own network of clients and contacts across the NHS environment.
