Job summary
We have exciting opportunities in our Information Governance (IG) Service at Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit.

The Information Governance service are experts at supporting NHS partners with their improvement, transformation and innovation plans, projects and strategies - improving clinical outcomes, delivering better patient experiences and driving down the cost of care.
The post-holder will provide specialist information governance consultancy expertise and insight to programmes and projects to achieve beneficial changes in line with the strategic goals of the CSU and its customers and contributing to the development and provision of IG support to customers.
This role will contribute to thought leadership on information governance requirements wherever the need exists across the CSU regions and portfolio. This is will be in the context of Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) and to include projects concerned with interoperability, large scale analytics, and digital solutions. The Senior Information Governance Consultant will be responsible for work that is highly complex in nature and will have involvement from a range of organisations/services/stakeholders at a regional and possible national level.
Main duties of the job
Provide specific advice and guidance to projects and carry out the initial review and completion of Data Protection Impact Assessments and Data Sharing/Processing Agreements, providing Information Governance Consultant with the recommendations on whether to send on to Caldicott Guardians and SIROs for approval and the rational for that decision.
Be responsible for the production an annual delivery plan and any associate regular reports identifying the organisations progress against the DSP Toolkit as necessary, any risks to compliance, statistical progress against the training requirements and identification of areas for improvement, within agreed timescales ensuring that key performance indicators are consistently achieved.
