Job summary

Exciting opportunity for a Business Analyston afull time permanent basis to join the Digital Innovation Unit (DIU) of the NHS Midlands and Lancashire CSU (NHS MLCSU). This opportunity has arisen from the ongoing success DIU are experiencing within the digital transformation of health and care services.

DIU are leading on the cutting edge of digital technology. This is an opportunity to be actively involved in supporting the development and maintenance of solutions facilitating the transformation of health and care services including:

  • working on projects with a national footprint alongside our colleagues from NHS England, NHS Improvement and NHS Digital.
  • the application of BOT (Robotic Process Automation, Chatbot etc...) technologies

The location of this role is flexible due to agile working arrangements including working from home although occasional travel may be required.

Main duties of the job

As part of the Digital Innovation Unit (DIU) of Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (MLCSU), this post will provide business analyst input to our varied and complex digital projects and programmes working closely with our project and programme managers and consultants. We have a diverse mix of client organisations in the newly formed Integrated Care Systems Boards, within the broader health and care services and public bodies e.g. NHSE.

The post will assist DIU in the delivery of highly successful and often innovative programmes of work by capturing, validating and documenting user and business needs to ensure that outcomes delivered meet those needs.

The post will have considerable contact with colleagues within MLCSU and externally with our clients and partners.

The post holder may be required to work at any establishment at any time throughout the duration of their contract.

Development and delivery of a comprehensive portfolio of work comprising of systems analysis, requirements documentation, systems testing, benefits analysis and feasibility studies.

Feed into and updates a register of portfolio risks and issues, including mitigation plans. Ensuring that these are escalated and acted upon effectively.

Support programme leads in the management of the full project life cycle with a significant focus on ensuring stakeholder needs are fully recognised and that proposed solutions are reengineered if needed and optimised.
