Job summary

Created in 2012 to provide support to Greater Manchester, the Transformation Unit has expanded and now has a significant client base throughout the Northwest, as well as nationally. The Transformation Unit is hosted by the Midlands and Lancashire Clinical Support Unit.

The Transformation Unit works with clients to ensure that change is delivered within a strategic context and drives forward new thinking in how public services can be delivered, to be more effective, more efficient and achieve better outcomes for patients and service users.

Main duties of the job

What is the role?

We are looking to recruit an ambitious and experienced individual to take up the post of Transformation Consultant Analyst.

Amongst the role's key responsibilities are to:

  • Understand the context within which our customers operate and assist them to identify and structure the problems they need to address. You will have a good knowledge of the NHS, its organisational structures and operational processes and an appetite to learn more.
  • Interpret and explain the results of analyses to senior managers and clinicians, conveying both the key findings and the critical uncertainties that remain. Having conducted your analysis you will be keen to share it, highlighting the significance of your results to those that can make use of them.
  • Provide advanced analytical services to strategic healthcare projects, programmes and Business Cases in the form of prospective service modelling, retrospective analyses, evaluations and descriptive analyses.

The post holder's prime responsibility is to conduct highly complex analysis of diverse data with a strong emphasis on supporting the organisation to deliver its strategic vision.
