Job summary

NECS Consultancy offers bespoke management consultancy expertise to a range of clients across health and social care, and we are recruiting a Junior Consultant to join our Consultancy Team.

As part of our Consultancy team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality consultancy services to NHS and social care customers. Projects range from working with local acute NHS Trusts to large-scale change and improvement with NHS England.

You will also deliver internal initiatives which contribute towards the success of our Consultancy strategy, such as helping us to diversify our customer base and supporting team development through training and a value-led culture.

Main duties of the job

Able to engage with customers at a senior level.

Deliver presentations to large groups and facilitate workshops.

Support specific projects or workstreams.

Follow NECS consulting methodologies and utilise the relevant tools and best practice work.

Support with the collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data with a tailored approach.

Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Cover for the Consultant role during times of absence.

Applicants who perform well at the assessment centre will then be invited to a interview.

The post holder will assist and be responsible for the delivery of specific complex transformational projects for clients and support the team in the production of materials needed to deliver the assignment.

The post has a pivotal role to play in the contribution to the development of the NECS Consultancy Business Unit, will be responsible for managing and monitoring allocated internal projects within the Consultancy arm.

The post holder will also be responsible for running the teams information performance processes.

It is anticipated that this will be a development role within the team, with the opportunity to progress in line with the organisations talent management strategy.

  • Degree or equivalent experience and training (graduate level).
  • Additional specialist knowledge acquired through relevant experience in a business analyst, project or other relevant role, equivalent to post graduate diploma level (or equivalent experience).

Desirable

  • Minimum 2:1 degree level.

Experience

  • Working experience of a project, analyst or other business related role
  • Experience in:
  • Working with, engaging and influencing a range of stakeholders.
  • Working within multi-disciplinary teams, adopting different roles to suit the work activity area and needs of the business.
  • Advising and supporting clients to improve quality & performance, building capacity and capability within the organisation.
  • Independent working.
  • Project management.
  • Providing training, supervision or guidance to stakeholders.
  • Developing new policy, processes or approaches to work.

  • Managing or playing a lead role in an NHS transformation project.
