Job summary

NECS is recruiting for a Junior Analytics Consultant within NECS Consultancy. This role can be based in either London, Cambridge, Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, or Manchester, and you will form part of our nationwide Analytics Consultancy team as well as being aligned with a regional consultancy team.

As part of our Consultancy Analytics team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality consultancy services to NHS and social care customers. Recent projects include supporting Covid vaccination programmes; developing hospital demand and capacity solutions; and creating national dashboards using Python and Tableau.

You will also contribute to internal projects which help us to grow our business, deliver high performance and support our people to grow and develop.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for highly numerate individuals who can demonstrate excellent skills in analysing and interpreting complex data and working and engaging with a range of stakeholders. You should be commercially aware, customer focused and a great team player. Ideally you will have a good understanding of the NHS and how it operates, and your transferable skills from other sectors are also of real interest to us.

The post holder will assist and be responsible for the delivery of specific complex transformational projects for clients and support the team in the production of materials needed to deliver the assignment.

The post has a pivotal role to play in the contribution to the development of the NECS Consultancy Business Unit, will be responsible for managing and monitoring allocated internal projects within the Consultancy arm.

The postholder will also be responsible for running the teams information performance processes.

It is anticipated that this will be a development role within the team, with the opportunity to progress in line with the organisations talent management strategy.

  • Additional specialist knowledge acquired through relevant experience in a business analyst, project or other relevant role, equivalent to post graduate diploma level (or equivalent experience).

Desirable

  • Minimum 2:1 degree level.

Experience

  • Working experience of a project, analyst or other business related role.
  • Experience in:
  • Working with, engaging and influencing a range of stakeholders.
  • Working within multi-disciplinary teams, adopting different roles to suit the work activity area and needs of the business.
