An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Project Lead to join North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) Digital Transformation & Optimisation Service.

Working with a team of over 50 staff offering project management & delivery, business analysis, business change and benefits as well as project support office services to a wide array of clients across the health sector, including Primary Care, Social Care, Community Services, NHSE&I bodies, Pharmacies, Local Trusts and Local Authorities as well as NECS staff based across England.

We offer hybrid working in this role meaning that the successful candidate can work from a mixture of locations including home, NECS offices and customer locations.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager in delivery of large-scale projects, as well as taking ownership of smaller scale projects, with a significant focus on change management and service modernisation and improvement.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the provision of high quality, efficient and customer focused project management to a broad range of customer groups with a significant emphasis on governance and you will be responsible for delivering a first-class service and will therefore be driven, diplomatic, personable, proactive, and professional.

The candidate must be experienced in project management with refined organisational skills that balance work, and team support. The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to provide detailed complex reports and presentations when required.

Extensive knowledge of working within the NHS and the Digital Agenda would be highly desirable.

To deputise for Project Managers in order to ensure continuity of project activities and reporting.

Be responsible for ensuring that end users are supported throughout the implementation of IM & T Projects. This will be achieved by interpreting user requirements and dependencies, offering advice and guidance on changes in ways of working, chairing regular implementation meetings, producing documentation that represents best practice and managing the project at an end user level.

Be responsible for co-ordinating and planning individual implementation activities including, change management, issues and risks management and managing the formulation and adjustment of activity plans as required during the deployment of the specific IM & T Projects.
