We are seeking an experienced project manager to join the Digital Transformation & Optimisation team, with a focus on delivering technical IT, systems, and networks projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex technical projects. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, working with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to achieve project goals. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills are essential to this role. We offer hybrid working in this role meaning that the successful candidate can work from a mixture of locations including home, NECS offices and customer locations.
Main duties of the job
This role will be responsible for:
- Lead the technical design and implementation of IT, systems, and network projects, ensuring that technical specifications, standards, and best practices are followed.
- Work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to gather technical requirements, identify technical dependencies, and define technical solutions that meet project objectives.
- Ensure effective testing, quality assurance, and change management practices are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with technical vendors and suppliers to ensure that technical solutions meet project requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Ensuring that projects are delivered in line with key tolerances of time, budget and quality whilst keeping a key focus on stakeholder/user satisfaction at all times.
- Delivering projects in line with agreed governance controls and standard operating procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to project team members, ensuring that team members are effectively contributing to technical deliverables.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in technical IT project management, and apply this knowledge to continuously improve technical project management processes and practices.
