Job summary

Are you a customer-focused, self-motivated and experienced RPA Developer. Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in an influential role?

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with experience in development of RPA solutions (preferably using the UiPath suite of applications) to join the Data and Digital team.

As an RPA Developer, you will be part of a team of RPA specialists, tasked with exploring the exciting world of automation and developing solutions which ultimately deliver significant benefit to a wide array of clients across the health sector, including CCGs and GPs, as well as NECS staff based across England.

Main duties of the job

You will design and develop robots based on the requirements of the customer to automate their otherwise manual process.

You will use agile development methodologies to effectively manage a diverse and fast-pace workload.

You will collaborate and work with various stakeholders across NHS organisations using RPA to drive efficiencies to free-up invaluable resources.

We offer hybrid working in this role meaning that the successful candidate can work from a mixture of locations including home, NECS offices and customer locations.

Job responsibilities

The role will lead and manage a team of data specialists, planning their workload and overseeing delivery. Working within a team of data experts, lead the provisioning of data platforms and tooling underpinning numerous corporate and customer facing services. You will plan the design, development, testing and operation of data products in an agile manner with an appropriate technology architecture.

A key component of the role is leading the improvement of processes to ensure they remain safe, efficient and effective.

As technology evolves you will promote and develop the culture of learning inspiring your team to embrace opportunities to enhance the service offering by researching, piloting and establishing use cases to embrace with leading edge solutions

Build and maintain data pipelines and ensure our products are robust, performant, safe and cost effective.

Undertake the extraction, transformation, loading, cleansing and testing of data using a variety of inhouse and enterprise solutions.

Ensure data processes are automated through a range of technologies including Robotics Process Automation, extensive scripting and broader integration approaches.

Produce and present initial solution 'end to end' prototypes as working models for user evaluation and in preparation for full scale development and deployment.

Select possible logical solution options using appropriate components and technologies suitable to form the architecture and data component design and present technical options and recommendations.

Provide support to client/customer data solutions acting as a lead specialist consultant working to NECS processes and procedures.

Using technical expertise and experience, communicate highly complex technical issues, advising accordingly working closely with colleagues, customers and senior staff on a daily basis.

Frequent communication with data and analytics colleagues across the organisation and customer base ensuring deadlines are met and operational services are delivered.

Engagement with customers and partners to enhance the service considering evolving user requirements and other factors influencing the service.

Interpret, review, analyse, test and optimise data routines, recognising potential defects in the design or deployment and ensuring efficiency is maintained for processing.

Constantly analyse and support complex data pipelines ensuring processes are delivering expected results intervening when required to ensure compliance.

Plan and lead on a range of complex department- wide and organisation- wide work programmes and projects, including for example data and digital initiatives ensuring plans are established, monitored and results reported, flexing where necessary to ensure successful delivery of the project.

Manage conflicting work programmes that may impact across other internal departments within NECS.

Develop, structure and schedule plans, negotiating and communicating clearly with other departments.

Oversee and ensure the team provides regular updates for the delivery of technical activities against plan/milestones.
