We are looking for an
experienced Health Care Assistant to join our expanding team preferably
someone who has experience of working in a GP Practice or in Primary Care.
You should possess
excellent communication skills and be highly motivated with a genuine interest
in healthcare and helping others. You will have a professional, open and
approachable manner and able to establish effective relationships with
colleagues and patients.
You will be mainly based
at our Brockwell Surgery in Cramlington and must be able to travel to our other
surgeries in Seaton Delaval and Seaton Sluice to meet the requirements of the
role.
Main duties of the job
You will carry out a
wide range of duties including:
annual reviews
health
promotion
blood
pressure checks
urinalysis
height/weight/BMI
checks
venepuncture
ECG
influenza
and covid immunisations

- Excellent IT and keyboard skills including accurate data input.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Accuracy in record-keeping
- Understanding of the need for patient confidentiality and data protection.

- Able to carry out the full range of duties: annual reviews, health checks, new patient registration, health promotion and health checks, blood pressure checks, urinalysis, height/weight/BMI, venepuncture, and influenza immunisation.
