Job summary

The Digital & transformation Lead is an exciting new role in the rapidly developing environment of primary and community healthcare management. The successful candidate will play a significant part in the development of PCNs in Easington and Sedgefield supporting the delivery of their Digital and transformational progress.

They will support the Clinical Directors, Business Managers and Practices in the digital and transformational initiatives for our 5 PCNs, playing a central role in supporting the practices identify and implement new technology to support patient care. Identify key measures and monitor progress through the year. Support social media and other innovative methods of reaching our patient population.

Main duties of the job

Identify digital solutions to support the development, resilience, and the future proofing in line with local, regional and national needs.

Improve adoption of new technology to enhance patient access and experience and increase PCN productivity.

To ensure the PCNs, and member practices, are conforming with national policy on digital priorities.

To standardise, manage and monitor websites and social media accounts.

Manage and make best use of appropriate NHS Digital offers.

Manage, on behalf of the PCNs, Ardens reporting, and issues highlighted from searches in the software and systems.

Keep the PCN Boards updated on performance and delivery of the PCN DES and other performance requirements.

Managing - Online access.

Increasing take up of digital services.

Delivering against NHS Digital Journey Planner.

Ensure the PCNs complies with all Data Protection Regulations/GDPR.

To provide advice and recommendations on potential developments or areas for service improvement.

Keep up to date with all professional requirements of the ARRS Digital and Transformational lead role/responsibilities.

Lead on accessing national and ICB information platforms to ensure the PCNs have the most up to date digital intelligence for example RAIDR.

Interpret data and highlight variation to support discussion about where variation is and is not warranted.

  • Experience in delivering IT projects across multiple sites of departments.

  • Quality Improvement training.
  • Experience of the production of Data Share Agreements, DPIA's, Assessments etc.
  • Experience of working in general practice with good working knowledge of general practice IT systems (including IT, digital and BI tools), processes and procedures or; experience of successfully delivering change and improvements in a patient facing environment.
