Job summary

NHS Greater Manchester (NHS GM) is looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) Manager. The EPRR Manager will work on specific projects to help NHS GM fulfil its duties as a Category 1 responder under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and meet its obligations as described within the NHS England Core Standards for EPRR.The EPRR Manager will promote continuous improvement in NHS GM's EPRR arrangements and will undertake joint working with colleagues in partner organisations to enhance plans and processes for emergency preparedness .

Supporting the NHS GM Accountable Emergency Officer (AEO) and EPRR team members, the EPRR Manager will contribute to the full cycle of emergency preparedness, from risk management and planning to training and exercising, The EPRR Manager will also have a role in the delivery of EPRR assurance processes and will support processes that aim to identify learning from incidents and exercises.

Main duties of the job

The EPRR Manager will be part of the NHS GM EPRR team that provides specialist advice and support to NHS GM Chief Officers, senior managers, function leads and other NHS GM staff who have a potential role in incident response or business continuity management arrangements. The EPRR Manager will also liaise with colleagues in partner organisations to support joint working for emergency preparedness across Greater Manchester.
