Heywood Middleton and Rochdale locality are excited to be recruitingClinical Lead Children, Young People and maternity- Rochdale
( 1.6 sessions per week).
Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale (HMR) locality is part of the GM Integrated Care System which is a partnership of health and care organisations coming together to plan and deliver joined up services and to improve the health of people who live and work in their area.
The C&YP Programme is one of the transformational programmes that the HMR Locality is focusing on. The Clinical Lead will provide strategic leadership and direction within the programme and will provide clinical advice in Clinical and Care Professional Leadership Forum.
The postholder will work with the Locality Children and Young People programmes across all settings to drive service change and transformation through effective clinical leadership, collaborating with wider senior leaders and system partners. The post holder will also be with working with Clinical Leads from other localities to support the delivery of GM ICB C&YP priorities.
Main duties of the job
1) To work proactively across organisational boundaries to improve health outcomes and the way services are delivered,
2) Specifically to provide clinical leadership for C&YP and maternity within the HMR Locality by working across locality organisational boundaries, NHS GM, GM and Eastern Cheshire SCN, and the LMNS
3) To support delivery of the themes and priorities of the NHS GM Strategic Plan, GM CYP Plan, Maternity plans and locality plans.

Lead the development and delivery of services, working with managerial, political and clinical and care professional leaders across the ICS and locality, supporting the delivery of quadruple aim whilst keeping quality and safety at the heart of everything we do
Lead improvement in outcomes for our population health and wellbeing through a lens of prevention and inequality
Put the patient at the centre of the work we do, and build key relationships with patients, service users and carers
Be an active part of the clinical and professional workforce in the locality, including locality clinical and professional forums
Engage with wider clinical networks for example, with Primary Care Networks and Strategic Clinical Networks (SCNs) - and across the health and social care system
Represent the locality and CCPL voice in Greater Manchester
Regardless of the post holders primary employment or professional grouping the Clinical system lead will act as a CCPL leader, not on behalf their employer or professional group
Promote clinical leadership that is reflective of our population and support in the identification and recruitment of a pipeline of future clinical and care professional leaders

- Detailed knowledge and understanding of NHS Health and Care services at a National, Regional and local level
- Good knowledge of the health, care and local government landscape and a good understanding of the social determinants of health and current evidence on practices which reduce health inequality
- Extensive knowledge of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciation of the implications at a local level.
- Highly sophisticated leadership and influencing skills; building compassionate cultures where individuals and teams thrive.
- Strong critical thinking and strategic problem solving; the ability to contribute to a joint strategic plan and undertake problem resolution and action. Analytical rigor and numerical excellence.
