Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for any individual who wishes to develop in a programme role to provide core project and information support expertise and knowledge as part of a workforce team focusing on system wide transformation. The postholder will support several key projects providing programme management methodology to enable the programme leads to drive forward and deliver expected activities on time and within budget.

Under the direction of the Programme Managers, the post holder will assist with the development and implementation of complex, high value projects and initiatives, taking direct responsibility for administrative and project information support. The post-holder will work with a range of systems to analyse data including the Virtual Workforce Information System, NHS Digital, and Social Care Workforce Tools and other information and performance/business intelligence systems to deliver the core and ad hoc requirements of the role.

Main duties of the job

The System Information Analyst will be:

Responsible for creating project reporting structure to support the work of the GM Workforce Transformation team

Supporting areas of work where continued funding maybe considered to enable the development of future areas where transformation can support the workforce at a place, neighbourhood, locality, or system.

Bring together any updates, case studies to aid the workforce transformation programme managers workstreams where spread and adoption is promoted to sharing best practice

Ensure that programme change is managed effectively by working with relevant programme teams and key stakeholders to encourage buy in and engagement.

Ensure the preparedness of the CCGs, local authorities, primary care, and acute organisations in working effectively to deliver the projects and initiatives.

Additionally, the post holder will be expected to support specific work within the programmes and support the Programme Managers, as necessary.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management and/or health information systems development
  • Must have an understanding of the background to and aims of current health/social care policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement
  • Previous experience in budget setting and supporting good practice budget management and a working knowledge of financial processes
  • Should have an appreciation of the relationship between NHS England, the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership and individual provider and commissioning
  • Experience of working with a range of stakeholders and Application Interview References NHS GM Integrated Care - Template JDPS January 2023 9 organisations across the Health and Care System
