An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Support Officer in the IDCR Team at NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care until the end of March 2024.
The post holder will work within the IDCR Team, providing project support for a portfolio of IT/Digital innovation projects supporting the roll out of the GM CR across Greater Manchester. Primary Care experience is therefore desired.
This is a dynamic role that is part of a team covering the Greater Manchester area. Delivery will be to Localities, GP practices, and Local Partner Organisations (Health and Social Care) on behalf of NHS GM Integrated Care.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Project Managers/Senior Project Managers with the delivery of a number of complex projects/ initiatives at the NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care organisation, ensuring they are delivered to time, cost and quality criteria which meet stakeholder (both internal and external) requirements.
We are looking for someone who has experience of providing high quality project/programme and administrative support in a complex and demanding environment. Applicants will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, proactivity, enthusiasm, attention to detail, excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to work as part of a team or autonomously.
In return the post holder will experience a wide range of varied and dynamic projects that we deliver. There may be opportunities to independently manage smaller scale projects for those seeking to develop their skills.

More recently we have introduced the Project Management Competency Framework that allows the team to create their own personal portfolios aligning to Project Management accreditation with a full training and development plan to keep up-skilled with industry standards and career development.Working as a partner in the health and care system, our customers include Greater Manchester Localities, GPs and NHS Foundation Trusts, as well as a number of non-NHS organisations and other professional bodies. We are Greater Manchester's foremost shared service provider employing around 320 staff.The role will be based from Salford (currently working from home) where the core project team is located and could be required to operate from another base in the Greater Manchester area. Travel is required as a part of this role.
