The successful candidate will be required to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary Clinical Team to promote the safety and well-being of the patients, under the supervision of the Consultants and Clinical Lead Dr Sairan Whitaker.
This is a permanent post, and candidates will be required to work on a full-time basis and therefore will be contracted to work basic 40 hours per week. Salary will be confirmed in advert. The department will also consider part time working. There is no on call commitment with this post
You will be supported if you wish to complete your CCT and wish to gain expertise in the diagnosis and management of complex skin disease including eczema, psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, and optimised use of biologic and other immunomodulatory therapies.
There are opportunities to gain surgical skills in minor skin surgery, including reconstruction with flaps and grafts and that we work closely with our colleagues in a tertiary referral centre for plastic surgery.
You must be fully registered with the GMC and hold License to Practice and be on the Specialist Register.

There is an extensive academic and teaching programme and you will be expected to participate in this.
Main duties of the job
This is a Senior Clinical Fellow post joining a complement of 5 Consultant Dermatologists responsible for the provision of Dermatology Specialty services to Swansea Bay University Health Board (SBUHB) Dermatology services at SBUHB are provided for the local populations (over 390,000 residents) of Swansea and Neath Port Talbot.
The Dermatology Service is hosted by Specialist Surgical Services Group in Morriston. The Unit is led by a Service Director, a Medical Director and a Nurse Director.
Dermatology Services are provided principally at two hospitals, Singleton Hospital and Neath Port Talbot Hospitals. Outpatient activity is undertaken in the two sites. The department also provided in patient advice to patients at Neath Port Talbot, Singleton and Morriston Hospitals.

Swansea also has excellent sporting facilities including the Wales National pool and liberty stadium home to the Ospreys and Swansea City football club.
