Job summary
We are seeking a proactive and efficient Administrator to join the Facing the Challenge team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. This multi-disciplinary service provides specialist support to children and young people with learning disabilities who display behaviours that challenge, working in close partnership with families, schools, and professionals to promote positive outcomes and prevent placement breakdowns.The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the smooth and effective running of the team's operations. You will be responsible for managing your own workload, supporting project and business functions, and handling a wide range of administrative tasks including coordinating referrals, managing correspondence, organising video calls, and preparing key documents.Strong IT and organisational skills are essential, as the role involves maintaining filing systems, processing data, and supporting information governance. You'll also liaise professionally with colleagues, stakeholders, and the public, managing phone enquiries and welcoming visitors to the service.In addition, you will support the team with tasks such as maintaining annual leave records, assisting with staff inductions, transcribing meeting minutes, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Facing the Challenge team, ensuring the smooth delivery of services. Key responsibilities include managing team diaries, arranging and supporting meetings, minute taking, drafting and sending correspondence, and ensuring all tasks are carried out in line with Health Board policies and procedures.
