The post is a Senior Clinical Fellow (equivalent to ST3, ideal for candidates who have completed a core training post in ENT and wish to develop their skills in this area).
The successful candidate will be part of the ENT middle grade rota 1 in 6 (prospective cover) and will be required to participate in team working with supervision from more than one consultant.
Individuals will be required to undertake duties in CAS clinics, outpatient clinics and assist in theatres.
You will be expected to deputise for absent colleagues and in exceptional, unforeseen circumstances may have to perform additional duties to ensure the safe running of the department. Where such duties take place outside your normal contracted duties, you will receive either an equivalent off duty period or will be remunerated appropriately.
You will provide advice to clinicians in hospital and primary care, originating either from telephone calls or ward referrals.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be required to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary Clinical Team to promote the safety and well-being of the patients, under the supervision of an ENT Consultant.
This is a permanent post and will be required to work on a Full/ Part Time basis and therefore will be contracted to work basic 40 hours per week plus additional hours for on call rota (Average 48 hours per week). Salary will be confirmed in advert.
The service works closely with our partner organisations, both statutory and voluntary,and has established links with local General Practitioners.
