Job summary

Come and join the innovative Occupational Therapy team in Swansea Bay University Health Board.

There is a permanent, full-time Clerical assistant post available to support the OT team at Neath Port Talbot Hospital. Working days will be Monday - Friday, working 37.5hrs

The role involves supporting the Locality Lead OT, as well as helping to manage waiting lists, liaising with the public and streamlining current systems with the use of technology.

Main duties of the job

To be a member of the Occupational Therapy team supporting therapists in the delivery of an Occupational Therapy Service.

To provide an efficient clerical and word processing service skills to the Occupational Therapy serviceTo develop and maintain effective systems of work appropriate to the department, in line with Health Board Policies

To manage the waiting lists using appropriate electronic systems for outpatients attending the department

To participate in CPD and develop skills and knowledge through participation supervision and other identified developmental activities.

To provide cover for other clerical staff within therapies to include general reception duties as delegated by Locality Lead.

To manage staff queries independentlywithin appropriate guidelines (e.g. A/L, sickness, Payroll).

Carry out administrative duties in relation to clinical, service, departmental needs.
