You will be based with the Nutrition and Dietetic Team in Neath Port Talbot Hospital supporting the hospital Nutrition and Dietetic team. You may need to work in other settings across the Health Board as required. This is a fixed term post until 31st May 2026, working 20 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

As a Dietetic Support Worker, you will work as part of the dietetic team assisting the dietitians to provide a service to inpatients, outpatients and in the community as necessary. You will support the delivery of individual dietetic care plans. Experience of caring for patients and knowledge of nutrition are essential.

You should have a recognised nutrition qualification e.g. Agored Cymru Community Food and Nutrition Skills Level 2 or equivalent or be willing to undertake the training on appointment.

We offer departmental CPD time to support your development and are committed to the development of teaching and presentationskills, evidenced based practice, research and clinical audit. You will be supported in attending relevant networking meetings and clinical focus groups.
