Are you a passionate and motivated Speech and Language Therapist looking to start or develop your career in a rewarding and supportive environment?

If the answer is YES then we are the perfect team for you!

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Speech and Language Therapist to join our Community Learning Disability Team, supporting adults with learning disabilities across the Cardiff area.

You will be part of a supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team, working closely with individuals, their families, carers, and professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in a community setting. This role is well-suited to a newly qualified therapist or someone seeking to develop their clinical skills in this specialist area.

Your role will be key in supporting people with learning disabilities to express themselves, engage with their communities, and maintain safe eating and drinking practices.

Your role will involve developing and delivering person-centred therapy plans, supporting the use of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), and promoting inclusive communication across different environments. You'll also provide advice, training, and support to families, carers, and support staff, and contribute to multi-agency planning and reviews.

You will receive structured supervision and regular peer support. We are committed to ongoing professional development, offering access to internal and external training, specialist CPD opportunities, and support for your career progression. You'll be part of a collaborative and friendly team culture that values staff wellbeing and offers flexible working arrangements where possible. You'll also have the chance to contribute to service development, innovation, and quality improvement initiatives.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
