Job summary

We are seeking to appoint a Service Manager for Haematology at Swansea Bay University Health Board.

The Service Manager is responsible for the day to day operational issues within designated area of responsibility to ensure the department delivers on its key targets & priorities in a safe, sustainable and effective environment. The Service Manager will be required to interpret and implement national guideline to ensure effective delivery of clinical services within areas of responsibility.

You will be highly organised, enthusiastic, motivated and able to work closely with staff at all levels to ensure safe, efficient service delivery.

Main duties of the job

On behalf of the Assistant Divisional Manager the post holder is responsible for the day-to-day operational issues within designated area of responsibility to ensure the Delivery Unit delivers on its key targets and priorities in a safe, sustainable and effective environment.

The post holder will also support developing and implementing projects and business cases to improve cost, service delivery and patient experience to the key speciality areas and will ensure continuous improvement of performance and quality targets.

The post holder will provide timely, efficient and effective operational management support to the Assistant Divisional Manager to ensure that services are responsive and provided to the highest clinical and performance standards.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
