Job summary

An exciting opportunity has risen to join a committed and dynamic team within the Integrated Surgical Services Group at Morriston Hospital. As Divisional Manager you will work alongside Medical and Nursing leads in developing and managing services to deliver quality care for our patients.

We are seeking a dynamic individual who has the ability to successfully engage with a broad range of teams, disciplines and staff across the Division.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing leadership, operational management, strategic business planning and project management to help ensure that the Division delivers and achieves its performance, quality and efficiency objectives and delivers high standards of care to our patients.

  • Masters degree or equivalent experience at senior management level within the NHS
  • Service Improvement qualification (Silver)
  • Demonstrate detailed knowledge and understanding of a wide range of national health policy issues and how they translate to NHS Services.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills in relation to Information and Information management issues and how they support operational and strategic management of clinical services.

Desirable

  • Programme and project management qualifications.
  • Breadth of knowledge across all health services from primary to tertiary care.
  • Coaching Qualification

  • Leading and delivery of highly complex service change.
  • Skills and experience in leading on significant service improvement Evidence of report writing skills, service planning and presentation skills.
