Job summary
The post holder will be the strategic lead for the implementation of the HCSW Career Framework including the development, facilitation and sustainability of the clinical induction programme for Nursing, AHP and Health Science HCSW's.
Will be responsible for both the strategic and day to day management of the work programme, coordinating and informing senior managers within workforce, nursing, therapies and health sciences of all activities and progress towards implementation. This will require extensive leadership, organisation, communication, facilitator and negotiating skills to ensure required actions and outcomes are achieved.
The HCSW Development Lead role requires individuals to role model a positive lifelong learning approach and can identify personal and professional opportunities to develop and sustain the role for the benefit of learners and ultimately our communities.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity for a suitable candidate to join the HCSW development team.
The successful candidate will provide a strategic lead for the implementation and management of the NHS Wales HCSW Career Framework across the Health Board including the development, overall management and facilitation and quality assurance of the clinical induction programme for Nursing , AHP and Health Science HCSW's.
Responsibilities will include development of comprehensive plans to work with divisional units and departments to implement the career framework.
Review structures in place and analyse training needs, method of delivery and assessment for the accredited learning as set out in the career framework -- this will include development of HCSW's in all staff groups and facilitating this through Agored Cymru, Open University and other awards, certificates and diplomas on the Qualification Credit Framework (CQF) in order to suit service needs.
Provide specialist advice and support for the Health Board to ensure the effective development of support workers who undertake the care of patients and clients served by SBU Health Board.
