Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor within the Early Intervention Psychosis Team based in Tonna Hospital. The successful candidate will play an integral role in delivering a quality service under the supervision and guidance of an Occupational Therapists and alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team. You will need to have an enthusiastic and hard-working approach, be passionate about quality patient care and have excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
The successful applicant will have clinical supervision, support to gain an Agored Occupational Therapy Diploma to encourage self-development and role skill set, and also in-service training. This is a rewarding, varied and dynamic role.
The team provides service wide care to support service user occupational function in line with recovery principles and practice. Applications are welcome from creative and highly motivated people who would like to join a highly valued Occupational Therapy Team in this Health Board.

Alongside the Occupational Therapist, the post holder will be responsible for the provision of assessment, treatment, and intervention of those individuals who access the EIP service. The Occupational Therapy service is underpinned and guided by the Model of Human Occupation practice.
Use technical and creative skills to assist in the provision of therapeutic occupations for individuals and groups of patients
Responsible for the prioritisation of tasks
Works on multiple sites including community, patients homes and third sector services
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
