Full and part time hours available. You will be required to cover shifts which will be long days and nights covering a 24 hour period
We are looking to expand our HCSW team and giving opportunities for band 3 HCSW's to be part of the workforce that will be opening the new frailty unit at Morriston Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an Acute Frailty Unit that will be providing care to patients presenting with, injuries, illness, acute exacerbation of chronic conditions.
We are looking for candidates who is able to manage their time well and want to be part of an innovative multidisciplinary team to help deliver safe, effective quality patient care. Ideally we are looking for someone with experience in an acute environment, however this is not essential.
The unit is opening on the 1st September 2024.
Main duties of the job
The candidate will be required to work closely with the multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe and effective care for our patients. As a band 3 HCSW, you will be involved in undertaking a variety of enhanced task with support from your registered nurse.
You would be expected to promote the patients independence by focusing on their functional ability and support in the prevention of deconditioning.
The candidate should hold NVQ level 3 in health or equivalent. They will need to demonstrate that they have good communication skills and that they are an excellent team player.
You will be supported in your development to be able to undertake the enhanced skills required within this role.
