This is a fixed term post for 12 months,due to maternity leave cover.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and motivated radiographers to join our Radiology team. You will work across all areas of Radiology including:
- Plain Film
- CT
- Fluoroscopy
- Theatre
- Portable
You must be a registered HCPC Diagnostic Radiographer, we will be happy to support newly qualified staff commencing their career and offer a full preceptorship programme.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a committed professional with strong interpersonal skills to develop their experience within a busy clinical environment. The post holder will need to have excellent organisational and communication skills to ensure they can work effectively within an often busy and demanding environment , to ensure Radiology continues to provide a high quality service to all its users.

Main duties of the job
To carry out a range of radiographic examinations within and outside of the department to the standards required in a manner which maintains the care and safety of patients and the safety of others.
To work in areas of specialised imaging and carry out examinations under the supervision of a Senior or Supt. Radiographer.
To participate in an out of hours rota covering evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Radiology services for Swansea Bay University Health Board are provided on the three main sites: Morriston, Singleton and Neath Port Talbot Hospitals.
Each department is busy, friendly and supportive and we perform a wide range of x-ray procedures including plain film, fluoroscopy, MRI, CT, theatres, mammography, cardiac, DSA, nuclear medicine and ultrasound.
We are extremely proud of our skilled employees across our hospital sites in Swansea Bay University Health Board, with high quality patient care positioned at the heart of everything we do. The teams are committed to providing training and development for all staff, with radiographers undertaking a wide range of advanced practice. It also provides clinical training for BSc Radiography students from the University of Wales, Cardiff.
Each of the 3 hospitals arelocated on the outskirts of Swansea, close to the Gower coast with its beautiful unspoilt beaches and coastal scenery, and also to outstanding countryside such as the mountainous Brecon Beacons National Park. Swansea itself is a busy thriving city with a large marina, University, and a rich cultural heritage.
Singleton Hospital will become thecentreofexcellencefor planned healthcare, womens health, cancer care and diagnostic tests. Singleton would become the powerhouse for delivering the high numberofroutine operations which do not need critical care.
