An exciting opportunity has arisen for a junior doctor (CT1 level) to undertake a 12 month fellowship in oncology. The post-holder will have the opportunity to gain experience in an area of oncology similar to that of other trainees in oncology. The post will be predominantly ward based but with opportunity to attend one clinic a week. The post will participate on the on call rota.
Main duties of the job
This post is aimed at at CT1 level. The post will start as soon as possible. The post-holder will have the opportunity to gain experience in oncology that is similar to other junior posts in oncology. We encourage uptake of training opportunities and will support relevant courses for the candidate's education and training needs.
The post will be based in the South West Wales Cancer Centre, Swansea. The role will mainly be supporting the inpatient unit, in addition to providing medical input to the chemotherapy and radiotherapy units.
About us
Swansea Bay University Health Board has responsibility for the health of around 390,000 people in the Neath Port Talbot and Swansea areas. We are a University Health Board working in partnership with Swansea University, Swansea School of Medicine, the School of Health Science and the Institute of Life Science.
