Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified or experienced staff nurse to join our team at Ward B Neath Port Talbot Hospital. Ward B is a 28 bedded Stroke Rehabilitation Ward.

Main duties of the job

As well as an interest in care of the older person, you will have a willingness to develop the clinical skills and competencies to become an advocate in your field. You will gain experience and exposure to a wide range of clinical skills including multi-professional working, discharge planning and management of complex health needs. The clinical skills that you develop will equip you to progress into a competent and skilled nurse.

The ward staff have a close working relationship with the multidisciplinary team which includes therapies, patient flow, social workers, dieticians and hospital volunteers. All of these staff aim to make the patients stay in hospital as positive an experience as possible. We are seeking compassionate nurses who are enthusiastic to develop their clinical knowledge and skills to make a positive impact on the experiences of our patients.

You will demonstrate the Health Board's values in everything that you do in the work environment.
