Job Summary
As an Associate Service Group Director you will play a key role in supporting the Group Director, Group Nurse Director and Group Medical Director in delivering effective leadership and management of the Neath Port Talbot and Singleton Service Group (NPTSSG).
The posts have been designed to work with considerable freedom to act over a range of highly complex services to ensure that there is clear and unequivocal focus on quality and safety at the core of the NPTSSG's objectives.
Our operational management arrangements are in the process of being redesigned to ensure they underpin the achievement of our ambitious plans. Consequently we are looking for three courageous and inspirational leaders for the following new roles:-
- Associate Service Group Director / Deputy Service Group Director/ Hospital Operations and Cancer Divisions
- Associate Service Group Director - Surgical Division
- Associate Service Group Director - Children Young People and Women's Health

Main duties of the job
The Successful Candidates will be:
- A patient centred approach, with a clear focus on safety and quality as the drivers for change and improvement.
- A successful track record of compassionate and transformational leadership and service improvement in a complex healthcare setting.
- Experienced managers who are confident working independently and setting their own programme of work.
- Comfortable negotiating with and influencing a wide-range of stakeholders to ensure that the aims of the Divisions, Service Group and wider Health Board are achieved.
- Experience of building strong and effective working relationships both internally and externally.
