Job summary
- The Stores Supervisor will be responsible for the operational, organisation, supervision of the stores function within the Acute Medical Unit (AMU).
- The role will include submitting and receipting orders using an electronic online ordering system and dealing with all relevant queries. Responsible for the prompt delivery of orders, with relevant documentation, prioritising the Omnicell system.
- To liaise with suppliers, courier services and Health Board personnel regarding order disputes / queries
Main duties of the job
- Within AMU, unpack, check and place goods into correct areas for delivery.
- Responsible for the prompt delivery of orders, prioritising the Omnicell system, ensuring all documentation is attached to the consignment for delivery to all designated service points and unpacking goods into storage areas
- Ensure the security of all stock and equipment within the stores and during transportation to associated areas
- Conducting yourself in a polite, friendly and professional manner when engaging with courier service operators
- Ensure proper standards of cleanliness are met in the AMU department including the removal of any associated wasteMaintain safe storage and movement of equipment and stock.Maintain security of premises or areas within your remit as appropriate.
- Comply with all Health and Safety, statutory legislation and Health Board associated policies and procedures in work practices and in the workplace.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding missing deliveries, shortages, returns, damaged goods, anomalies in paperwork.
- Investigate and analyse complaints and queries regarding stock and non-stock purchases in a prompt and efficient manner
