Job summary
The post holder is the strategic and operational lead for dietetics and weight management for Lymphoedema Wales Clinical Network. This new national post will sit with the National Lymphoedema Team who are hosted by Swansea Bay UHB. A key part of the post holder's remit will be to lead the development of a Weight Management Service for Lymphoedema Wales as 80% of the lymphoedema population have a BMI over 25. The main aim of the post is to provide professional and leadership for Nutrition and weight management services for Lymphoedema Wales.
Main duties of the job
- Understand and develop the strategic direction of this new service.
- Have direct responsibility for the delivery and evaluation of the level 2 Healthy Weight for Lymphoedema Wales as well as working closely in partnership with level 1 and level 4 providers.
- Be a clinical leader in lymphoedema weight management, providing both clinical support and intervention; supervision, guidance and support for the team and the wider multidisciplinary teams who care for patients, families and carers.
- Efficient & effective utilisation of Patient Reported Outcomes Measures and Patient Reported Experience measures.
- Provide supervision and nutrition training to the team as well as stakeholders.
- Promote evidence based practice and research in this area.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
