Job summary
An opportunity has arisen to join the Chemotherapy Day Unit Nursing Team, based at Singleton Hospital.
The team delivers a high standard of care for patients with cancer receiving Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) and supportive treatments.
We are looking for a nurse who has a passion for working in the specialist field of Oncology.
Cancer survival in the UK has doubled in the last 40 years from 24-50%, much of the improvement in survival is down to the availability of better diagnosis and treatment options of thedisease.
As people are living longer, the demand for ongoing treatment with SACT is increasing in parallel with this.
Main duties of the job
An opportunity has arisen to join the Chemotherapy Day Unit Nursing Team, based at Singleton Hospital. The team delivers a high standard of care for patients with cancer receiving SACT and supportive treatments. We are looking for a nurse who has a passion for working in the specialist field of Oncology.We can offer excellent personal development, within a competency based framework, previous experience would be helpful.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
