Job summary
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Registered Learning Disability Nurses and or Registered Mental Health Nurses for several full-time posts to work within Llwyneryr. We work closely with the Dan y Deri in-patient services, and provide specialist care for the both units for people with learning disabilities, we are part of Swansea Bay University Health Board's Mental Health and Learning Disability Delivery Unit.
The successful candidates will be required to work as part of a seven-day service, which includes weekend, nights and bank holidays.
Llwyneryr offers a dynamic and challenging work environment, supporting adults with Learning Disabilities who present with behaviours which can challenge. We aim to provide a high quality, person centred approach based on the Positive Behaviour Support model.
The post is open to all nurses currently holding registration with the NMC, including newly qualified staff nurses. We offer a supportive preceptorship program for all newly qualified nurses.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide specialist nursing care to people with learning disabilities who require in-patient services. They will promote equality for all service users through anti discriminatory practice, supporting individuals' rights, choices, beliefs and identity and by supporting individuals through effective communication. The post holder will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care through the principles of Positive Behavioural Support.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
