An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Registered Nurse to join the team.
Occupational Health offers a dynamic and challenging work environment. Working as part of a team, the role requires a flexible approach to work, commitment, the ability to prioritise your workload as well as the ability to communicate and work with the wider multidisciplinary team.
We are looking for individuals with good clinical interpersonal and communication skills, who are willing and able to adapt to change and to work individually within their level of competence.
The post holders will be required to work as part of the team of Occupational Health Nurses across all Swansea Bay University Health Board sites.
Main duties of the job
As a registered nurse working in Occupational Health you will be responsible for supporting the team in the provision of services including:
- Undertaking routine planned health assessment and surveillance and providing a high standard of care and advice in relation to specific occupational health requirements.
- Employment screening and vaccination
- Advice on Infection control and occupational and lifestyle health matters
- Supporting health and wellbeing activities such as health road shows / flu vaccination campaign
- Health surveillance such as vision screening, lung function screening, audiometry.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
