Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 2 Health Care Support Workers to join our team in Caswell Clinic Regional Forensic Medium Secure Unit. The clinic is entering a period of modernisation to ensure the continuous provision of dynamic patient focus care and welcomes applicants with the drive to help deliver this vision.

This role will be integral to the development and delivery of the modernisation changes and will require a motivated individual with a passion for delivering high quality, patient centred care to individuals with on-going mental health needs.

The service has an ethos and philosophy surrounding the principles of recovery focused care and encourages continuous personal development and has a strong commitment to clinical governance. You will be actively encouraged to engage in a wide range of education and training as we believe this is integral to providing excellent and relevant holistic care.

Main duties of the job

The Healthcare Assistant (Level 2) will work at all times under the delegation of a registered practitioner or assistant practitioner in the delivery of person centred care.

The post holder will be responsible for following care plans and recording all personally generated observations and documenting care given in individual's notes.

The main responsibilities of the post are to assist registered nurses in meeting the needs of the patient group. Applicants need to be motivated, patient centred and able to work with limited supervision in pursuit of meeting the care needs of our patient group.

Internal rotation is in operation between day and night duties across the 5 wards in our service.
