Job summary
The Administrative Assistant / Typist will be responsible for proving a comprehensive administrative and typing service for the Gastroenterology Department.
The Administrative Assistant / Typist will maintain a direct and close working relationship with the Medical Secretaries (Gastroenterology), Consultants and Nursing staff as well as other staff within the Department. The post holder will work within standard administrative procedures with someone generally available for reference.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Gastroenterology Department in Morriston Hospital for a substantive 30 hour Administrative Assistant/Typist post.
Main duties will include;
Providing general administrative and typing support to the Medical Secretary and Medical staff as well as their teams, which will include typing, filing, photocopying, faxing and e-mailing.
Dealing with day to day queries within the department in an appropriate and sensitive manner via the telephone or face to face.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Swansea Bay University Health Board (formerly ABMU) was created on 1 April 2019, after responsibility for providing healthcare services in the Bridgend County Borough Council area passed from ABMU to the new Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
