Job summary

Swansea Bay University Health Board is offering an exciting opportunity for a Network and Telecoms Engineer to work within an ambitious ICT Operations team. The individual will need to have a good technical background with an interest in innovative IT solutions that could be used within the Health care environment.

In the current climate, there will be opportunity for Home working, but also a need to attend site when required / weekly.

There is an on-call rota which the successful candidate will join after a settling in period.

Main duties of the job

As a good communicator, the individual will need to be able to deal with staff at all levels, in addition to communicating with staff within the Health Board, the individual must have good skills in explaining requirements to suppliers in technical and project meetings.

You will troubleshoot network, telephony issues and Monitor systems. You will proactively address potential issues, introduce improvements and enhancements. You will be involved in project work. This is a team environment that encourages knowledge sharing and close collaboration, it is essential to have networking skills with an understanding of Cisco telephony,excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Online Cisco Training will be provided.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
