Job summary

Come and work in beautiful Swansea Bay, with fabulous coastline, outdoor pursuits, and mountain walking all within easy travelling distance.

We welcome applications from current graduates only, to join our band 5 Physiotherapy rotation scheme in Swansea Bay.

We are looking for dedicated and innovative staff to join our team. Rotations are 4 monthly between in-patients, outpatients and community, across multiple locations in Swansea and Neath. These cover areas of practice including acute respiratory, MSK, neurology, rehab, frail elderly, medicine and paeds. You will have the opportunity to work in teams with specialist band 6, band 7 staff, and Team Leaders, providing great learning opportunities and support.

Many of our senior team are educated to master's level, or above, affording fantastic opportunities for CPD. We also have the privilege of having 2 Consultant Physiotherapists in our teams, raising our profile for research and innovation.

We have long established links with Cardiff University, for undergraduate and post- graduate Physiotherapy education, including provision of student placements, and developed new relationships with the School of Health Science, and School of Medicine at Swansea University, in terms of accessing post-graduate courses, supporting research projects, and providing teaching and education to medical students.

Main duties of the job

To manage a defined caseload, using evidence based /client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in hospital & community settings and on home visits.

To be an active participant in the On Call rota and the 7-day working rota.

To maintain clinical records and report accurately to others.

To develop skills and knowledge through participation in the band 5 Development Programme and competency framework.

To gain experience through participation in the 4 monthly rotational scheme and complete all core objectives.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
