Job summary

As a ward hostess you will help to enhance our patient well-being and their experience in the hospital.

Working closely with other hospital staff you will be expected to deliver a great level of customer service to all patients, visitors and staff.

Supplying a service to patients, this will include serving patients their Meals with hot and cold drinks. Maintaining a clean working environment, Completing of documentation.

Abiding my policies and procedures and following food safety guidelines at all times.

Main duties of the job

The Ward Host/Hostess will work within the principles of a flexible team approach and undertake operational duties in line with associated Banded colleagues, including the role of Lead Food Services Assistant as/ when required.

The role will include undertaking duties in a chilled and/or frozen working and storage environment, as appropriate.

The Host/Hostess must be receptive to individual patient's food service needs and treat any information about and their condition with utmost confidence.
