Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced phlebotomist to join our team at Swansea Bay UHB, as a Team Leader.
The position will involve the daily supervision of a team of phlebotomists, being the first point of contact for all the phlebotomy team. Also, communicating efficiently with consultants, doctors, ward managers, nurses, patients etc.
Main duties of the job
Applications are invited from enthusiastic, flexible and well motivated individuals with experience in all aspects of phlebotomy to join our team providing high quality, compassionate care to our patients.
The successful candidates will be required to undertake a wide range of duties appropriate to the Phlebotomy section but will mainly be involved with day to day supervision of the service in inpatient, outpatient, primary care and community locations.
We currently have one permanent post available covering at our Morriston, Singleton, Neath Port Talbot Hospitals as well as our new "hub" sites based in community locations. The successful candidate will need to be able to cover at any of these sites
The successful candidates will be required to participate in the weekend / bank holiday rota.
Having a blood test done is often an essential step in a patients diagnosis or treatment and the care we give makes a real difference to this journey.
