Job summary
Swansea Bay University Health Board Radiology services are provided on three main sites: Morriston (Swansea), Singleton (Swansea) and Neath Port Talbot Hospitals.
We are looking to appoint a Band 6 Diagnostic Radiographer to support Radiology services on the Neath Port Talbot site, joining the busy multidisciplinary teams there. You should be a qualified Diagnostic Radiographer with current HCPC registration.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
This role will primarily be a Senior Theatre Radiographer, being the responsible Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) across existing and the new operating theatres. Your duties will incorporate inclusion in the main out-of-hours rota. You should have substantial experience within Radiography, be BSc / DCR qualified, be able to demonstrate evidence of organizational and leadership skills and be able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
The busy, friendly and supportive Departments within the Health Board perform a wide range of plain film x-ray procedures, Nuclear Medicine, Fluoroscopy, Angiography, Theatre, Cardiology, MRI and CT. The Department is committed to providing training and development for all staff. All Radiographers are involved with teaching undergraduate student Radiographers from the University Hospital of Wales.
