Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic team player to join the Singleton Nutrition and Dietetic Service in Swansea Bay University Health Board on a permanent, full time basis (working 37.5 hours per week). The post will support the bone marrow unit based in Singleton hospital and haematology patients in Swansea Bay Health Board.

This post would be suitable for a highly motivated Dietitian who has a wide knowledge and experience of working with a diverse clinical caseload of adults in the acute setting.

Main duties of the job

You will manage your own clinical caseload of clients with highly complex needs. This post will be key in developing strong links with haematology MDT to ensure the patient receives adequate nutrition before, during and after their bone marrow transplant.

You will enjoy the support of a senior mentor and be expected to supervise and mentor student dietitians, Dietetic Assistants and junior staff in conjunction with the operational Lead Dietitian.We offer departmental CPD time to support your development and are committed to the development of teaching and presentation skills, evidenced based practice, research and clinical audit. You will be supported in attending relevant professional networking meetings, interest groups.

We are approved for student placements (1, 2 and 3). The Health Board has University status with Colleges of Medicine on site.
